Pumpkins to Stitch and Sew

Updated: Oct 3, 2022

Fall is definitely here in New England, although due to our lack of rain, this is not going to be one of our better Falls color wise. So we need to bring a little fall color to our sewing! This is the first of two posts with a round-up of free sewing and stitching fall projects to get those creative juices flowing! Check back next Tuesday for the second post! This post is just about pumpkins, so lets see what great projects we can get started!

Of course we need to start with a little smocking and this free pumpkin design from Michie Moony is perfect for Fall! She has a free bishop version as well.

This embroidery design would be lovely in your home.

If you would like to whip up a fall quilt, or quilted placemats, then this free pumpkin quilt block may interest you.

If you can find an orange sweater, here is a great recycling project and a fun way to decorate you house from Confessions of a Plate Addict.

I don't crochet, but according to Food and DIY, if you have 10 minutes, you can make this cute crocheted pumpkin to adorn whatever strikes your fancy.

These pumpkins from One Little Project, would be fun to try with the kids. They are made with yarn and balloons!

I hope you find a few minutes to give one of these pumpkin projects a try and check back next Tuesday for more Fall inspired stitching ideas!
