Let's Learn to Smock!
It's easy, I promise!
Have you always wanted to learn to smock? Did you use to smock, but perhaps need a refresher? Smocking is embroidery over pleated fabric and dates from the Middle Ages. It is simple to do and can be used to make one of a kind heirloom garments. In this course we will create a smocked ball that will enable you to quickly master all the basics! If you know how to sew, the course will show you how to use the design to create a smocked insert that can be included in a dress or romper.
Here's What is Included:
-
20 lessons with detailed instruction walk you through every aspect of the project from picking out supplies to constructing the ball.
-
16 videos demonstrate each aspect of the process.
-
Videos include how to stitch demonstrations for both right and left handed stitchers.
-
Course includes instructions on how to use a pleater, hand pleat (it is really easy and goes quickly!) or you can purchase pre-pleated fabric (details below).

Self paced and your access never expires.
I am so glad you want to learn to smock!
Hi, I am Lisa and I am so glad that you want to learn to smock a Christmas Ornament for the holidays! I have been smocking for over 25 years, have my Artisan level certification in smocking from the Smocking Arts Guild of America and served as their national President from 2014-2016. I started Pink Hollybush Designs to share my love of smocking, so grab a cup of tea, take a few moments for yourself, and enjoy some quiet moments smocking for the holidays.
"My daughter wants you to know that you are a great teacher - she says my work/smocking/sewing has gone from above average to the next level above. She and my granddaughters thank you very much. Me too." Peggy D.
