The pattern comes in sizes Newborn to 24 months, and is especially designed for beginner smockers. The pattern includes step by step photos to walk you through each step of the construction of the bonnet and the smocking. If you have ever wanted to try smocking, but were afraid to, this is the pattern for you! If you don't have a pleater, no problem, our bonnet is available as a kit, and right now with our Labor Day sale, you can pre-order your kit or pattern for 20% off with code "laborday" at checkout!

Currently, the bonnet is available in 3 different prints: the gray and coral broadcloth pictured above, a lovely soft pink and gray lawn,

Delicate gray and pink lawn

or a fun Red Print.

If you would like a kit in one of our other fabrics, please email me and I will be happy to let you know if it is possible.

The design of our bonnet pattern is unique because it has a flat back. There is no need to worry that your little one's delicate head or skin will be irritated by a casing a tie as they their head against a car seat or stroller.

The pattern is sized for Newborn to 24 months and is designed to be used with cotton broadcloth, poplin, or quilting cotton. It also makes up beautifully in lawn or voile, but requires 55 to 60 inch wide lawn or voile for sizes above 6 months. The pattern comes with the two smocking plates shown above, step by step photographs on how to complete each of the smocking stitches, and photographs for constructing the bonnet itself. And of course, I am just an email away and happy to answer your questions. The pattern is available both as a paper pattern and as an automatic PDF download delivered right to your inbox. I Love to smock and I want to help you enjoy the pleasure of this special art form.
