Finishing Up Some Knitting

I promised myself when I received new yarn for a birthday present (back in September) that I wouldn't start a new project until the socks for my daughter and the existing 3 sweaters that I had at various stages of completion were finally finished! I have been VERY disciplined!

The socks are done (and they fit my daughter)!

I also finished my Trail Jacket designed by Hannah Fettig. The yarn used is Osprey by Quince and Co in Lichen.

The sweater that has been on my needles for the longest time is this soft violet lace sweater. The pattern is Chione and it can be found in the winter 2012 issue of Twist Collective. (Like I said it was on my needles for a long time!)

I didn't really enjoy knitting this pattern. I love lace work at a bigger gauge, but the pattern was random and therefore not easily memorized. I found I had to check the pattern before I knit each row., which is why it took me so long! Having said that, I really enjoy wearing this sweater. The fit is great and it has been a great transition piece this spring - warm yet not as bulky and constricting as my winter sweaters! Here is a close of of the neckline.

And here is the sleeve detail.

I have one more project to finish up - I just have to get this Coda sweater from Brooklyn Tweed sewn up and then the neckband knit! The yarn used is Shelter by Brooklyn Tweed in Woodsmoke.

I love the feeling of finishing and then getting to wear my projects! What is your favorite object to knit?
