2018 sewing in review

2018 was an amazing year for Pink Hollybush! It is fun to take a few moments to look back, reflect and be thankful for friends made, lessons learned, and all that was accomplished! So here we go:

I joined Liesl and Co.'s Advisor's Circle and produced garments and tutorials using her patterns including Hemstitching the Weekend Blouse, Extra Sharp Pencil Skirt, An Heirloom Afternoon Tea Blouse, Chai Tea Top to dress and tunic, and adding a shirt tail hem or ruffle to the Neighborhood Sweatshirt.


Smocking: The Basics series, over 10 posts that explain the ins and outs of smocking, ran on the blog.

Some wonderful sewing friends wrote for the blog and shared their sewing talents including Kelli Fox,

I taught Smocking on Knits for both the Cardinal and Cheasapeake Treasures chapters of the Smocking Arts Guild.

The first video tutorials were produced including Centering a Smocking Design and Understanding Double Gauze.
