Supplies Need for the Christmas Tree Ornament:
- ·A 4 or 5 inch wide Pleated strip of fabric will make 2 trees.
- A Styrofoam cone 3" or 4" high with a 2" diameter at the base of the cone.. ·
- 6 Stranded Cotton Floss. I used red and green.
- ·Number 7 Darner Needle for smocking, number 9 darner or 9 embroidery needle to add beads if beading the smocking rows. A number 12 Betweens needle or a Beading Needle if adding beads as listed in the pattern.
- #10 or 11 Seed Beads. I used red and gold.
- 18" of 1/4 or 3/8 wide ribbon to finish the top.
- 4" of Gold Cording, or addtional ribbon for a hanging loop..
- ·Small square of craft felt to match tree fabric.
- ·All purpose sewing thread that matches the pleated tree fabric.
- Basic sewing supplies such as pins, a tape measure and fabric shears.
- A pinnable surface such as a smocking board, ironing board, or folded towel.

Christmas Tree Smocked Ornament is a quick and easy smocked ornament. The pattern uses the basic stitches as well as introduces Curved Smocking. Detailed step by step instructions show each step of the construction process from prepping the fabric to constructing the ornament as well as explaining the curved smocking.
The file includes 2 patterns - one for a 3" tall cone and one for a 4" tall cone.
