A Knit Kensington Skirt

I am guest blogging over on the Oliver + S blog today after sewing the new Kensington Skirt by Liesl and Co. This beautiful and simple skirt is made from a knit, (so comfy), has a hidden elastic waist band (so super comfy) and only 4 pattern pieces! So if you need a quick and easy, instant gratification sewing project this is the one for you! I made my basic black (yes, I decided to be practical) and make myself a basic black skirt, from a double pique knit from Telio. Over at Oliver + S I give some tips and pointers for working with the knit. After making it, I think this skirt would be fantastic made out of a ponte or scuba as well.

If you know me, you know I am all about the lovely prints, but my wardrobe was crying out for a basic black skirt.

I am so happy with my Keningston skirt and love the comfort. This might turn out to be one of my favorite makes even if it isn't a print!

Happy Sewing!
