Get Started Pleating for Smocking & Troubleshooting your Pleater!

I have had several people reach out to me recently because they were having trouble pleating their fabric for smocking. As we emailed back and forth I found the same mistakes were being repeated. Perhaps the biggest mistake was just assuming they could just stick a piece of fabric in, crank away and all would come out perfectly - I wish! Pleating takes practice and control. Below are 2 videos to help address these problems. In the first one I cover how to get started if you have never pleated before and in the 2nd I cover how the typical problems that might be resulting in a less than ideal piece of pleated fabric.
