Rosie Dress Smocked or Gathered Printed Pattern

Rosie is a simple smocked or gathered dress with buttons down the front that can be made in an easy- care, comfortable knit, or a great woven for today’s girl. And of course it has pockets for all her treasures! Rosie may be made with smocked skirts (front and back or just front) (View A), a gathered high yoke (View B), or a gathered mid-yoke (View C). The back of Rosie has a high yoke for Views A and B and a lower yoke for View C. Rosie also comes with the choice of long or short sleeves.

This listing is for a paper printed pattern. Rosie is also available as a downloadable PDF pattern that includes both a print at home and copyshop format and a Pre-pleated kit. 

1 yard of Interfacing (knit for knit fabrics and lightweight woven or knit for wovens), coordinating thread, ½” buttons, a small clear snap, Basting Glue (optional, but recommended), mini-piping cord (optional), paper backed fusible such as Steam a Seam Light (optional but recommended) in ¼ or ½ inch size, for knits, a piping ruler (optional but recommended if adding optional piping).

*45 inch knit fabric may be used for sizes 3-8, and 45 inch woven fabric may be used for sizes 3-6. Add an additional ¼ yard to the above yardage for 45” woven fabric.
