My good friend Terry has been developing smocking patterns and blogging over at Little Heirloom Angels. I had the good fortune to pattern test her Baby Bishop Diaper Set and Pretty Panties. Terry's timing couldn't have been better, I was invited to a special baby shower and I knew that Terry's pattern would be perfect. I am all sold out of the fabric but you can find the light blue lace as well as other colors here.
Terry's directions are wonderful and walk you step by step through the process of sewing a bishop diaper set. She has a wonderful technique that helps control the fullness and get a terrific finish on the bishop neckline.
The smocking design comes with the pattern and is appropriate for a beginner.
Don't you just love the smocking on the sleeves?
Of course the pattern buttons down the front because new mamas with wiggly babies need things as simple as can be! No trying to get this over the head or button in the back. A button on panty comes with the pattern, but I choose to make the Pretty Panties.
